Music, dance, film and theatre will be the highlights of an upcoming festival here to celebrate the success of South Asians in Canada.

The festival, Masala! Mehndi! Masti! (M!M!M!), will be held here from Aug 3 to 7, reports the South Asian Observer.
The festival will be inaugurated at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) Stage with the screening of "Bride and Prejudice". Gurinder Chadha, the film's director, will be present on the occasion.
There will also be a concert by Brit invASIAN, featuring a performance by Britain-based Rhythm, Dhol and Bass (RDB).
The festival will also have a spread of succulent South Asian dishes.
The events include a Canadian debut for US tabla girl Tina Sugandh and for twin sitar playing sensations - Sonal and Simrit Mann (from India), a world premiere by choreographer Sukalyan Bhattacharya and the North American debut of Rajasthani folk music and dance ensemble KERAP.
Other highlights will be the Canadian debut of US theatre duo Kalapani and a tribute to noted Pakistani Urdu poet Sohail Rana (who now lives in Toronto and will be present on the occasion).
