Speeding truck crushes labourer
A speeding truck ran over four labourers and killed one of them near Shipra Sun City Society at Indirapuram, reports Peeyush Khandelwal.
A speeding truck ran over four labourers and killed one of them near Shipra Sun City Society at Indirapuram on Monday afternoon.

Three labourers were critically injured in the accident.
“The truck driver lost control and the vehicle turned towards the divider, running over labourers who were having food. After the truck hit theepeople, it went to the other side of the road and hit a Maruti-Alto car,” said Vijay Dwivedi, one of the eyewitnesses.
The driver of the Maruti car, Aditya Raj Singh, and a five-year-old child playing nearby, escaped miraculously. The labourers were working at a Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) construction site.
Later, the public beat up the truck driver and handed him over to the police.
A case has been registered at the Indirapuram Police Station.
Residents of the area said the incident could have been avoided had there been a provision of speed breakers.
Ajit Singh, a resident of Shipra Sun-City, Windsor Society, said: “Over speeding is a common practice on new roads and there is no provision of speed breakers in this area.”
