A speeding truck dashed against a tree and overturned on Sunday killing 10 people and injuring eight others near Shahjahanpur in Lucknow, the police said on Monday.
Eight people died instantly while two others died later at a hospital said Surendra Srivastava, a police spokesman.

The driver of the truck was among those killed, the spokesman said.
