SPORTS ROUND-UP| Balram wins gold in wrestling

BALRAM YADAV of Malhar Ashram, Indore, won a gold medal in the 7th Khashwa Jadhav Federation Cup wrestling competition held in Maharashtra recently Balram Yadav participated in the competition in the 84-kg category.

BALRAM YADAV of Malhar Ashram, Indore, won a gold medal in the 7th Khashwa Jadhav Federation Cup wrestling competition held in Maharashtra recently Balram Yadav participated in the competition in the 84-kg category.

He was got a gold medal, certificate and cash prize of Rs 30,000. Krishna Gaud of Shri Malhar Martand Vyayam Shala, Indore, won a bronze medal in freestyle (66 kg). Sandeep (120 kg) and Rohit Patel (96 kg) also won bronze medals in the competition.

Vyayam Shala president Laxman Yadav, secretary Kallu Bade, Shankar Lal, Madhya Pradesh Wrestling Association secretary Pappu Yadav, general secretary Narayan Singh Yadav and others have congratulated Balram Yadav on his success.

Dinesh, Vimal appointed

DINESH PALIWAL and Vimal Prajapat of Indore District Bodybuilding Association were appointed as coach and manager of Madhya Pradesh team for the 45th Senior Bodybuilding Championship recently. Association secretary C V Holkar informed this through a press release issued here recently.

Pair bridge

K P PODDAR and Dr Sudhir Jain won the weekly pair bridge competition held in Yeshwant Club recently. Dr L S Sharma and A P Kher stood second, while A R Nadgonde and V A Phaphunkar won the third position. The pair bridge competition for this week will be held in the club from 1.30 pm on March 12.

Sayeed Alam selected

SAYEED ALAM of Indore was selected as member of All India Dance Sports Federation at a meeting in Bhubaneshwar (Orissa) recently. Sayeed Alam is presently the general secretary of Madhya Pradesh Dance Sport Association.

Association president Rahul Rai Saxena, Shailesh Nandanwar, Shailja Bhagat, Jitendra Ujjainiya and Akhilesh Soni have congratulated him on his selection.
