Eleven people died after allegedly consuming spurious liquor in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, police said on Tuesday.

Four persons died this morning while seven deaths were reported on Monday night, a senior police official told PTI.

According to the official, people of Rachapalem and Palagummi villages were taken ill allegedly after consuming the liquor on Sunday night. After condition of some of them got serious, 12 people were admitted to hospital on Monday, they said.
A case has been registered and further investigations were on, he said.
