St Paul HSS must pay Rs 40 lakh, or lose property

THE DISTRICT administration is planning to attach the property - building and land - of St Paul Higher Secondary School within one week if the school management fails to pay diversion tax to the tune of Rs 40 lakh.

THE DISTRICT administration is planning to attach the property - building and land - of St Paul Higher Secondary School within one week if the school management fails to pay diversion tax to the tune of Rs 40 lakh.

The administration had issued notice for payment of diversion tax about 10 days back to the educational institution and had given a week’s time to submit the dues. According to Indore Sub-Divisional Officer Uma Shankar Bhargava, the administration would act within a week. “We will serve a notice for attachment soon, as we have waited for long,” he said.
