Terming the State Government as anti-farmer, anti-labourer, corrupt and inefficient the CPI leaders said the Samajwadi Party Government should be removed from power immediately in the interest of the masses and the State.

Early in the morning, the CPI workers gathered at the Charbagh Railway station and took out their procession toward the Vidhan Bhawan.

CPI state secretary Vishwanath Shastri alleged that the State Government was promoting corruption and the lands owned by the farmers were being captured. Shastri called upon the workers to launch a movement for the removal of the SP Government.

CPI leader Dr Girish said we were not opposed to development but at the same time the party would oppose the endeavor of the State Government to capture fertile land for setting up industrial units.

He said farmlands were acquired by the State Government at Dadri and given to an industrial house at a throw away price.

He further added that the CPI and other like-minded parties had organised protest movements at Dadri and the State Government had also tried to crush the movement. “We will again organise a demonstration and dharna at Dadri on August 17,” he said.

He said the Congress workers should also take pledge to free the State from the corrupt government. Organisation in-charge of the Congress Satyadev Tripathi said the Congress workers should follow the path shown by the Father of the nation.

The Yuva Lok Janshakti Party organised an anti State Government demonstration near the Vidhan Bahawan. State president of the party Dr Harshvardhan said instead of making UP an Uttam Pradesh, the SP Government had converted it into a backward and corrupt state.
