Indian filmmaker Shekhar Kapur has dismissed reports that
Twilight
star Kristen Stewart has been cast as the lead in his film
Paani
, saying the Hollywood star is yet to give her consent.
The 20-year-old actress has been approached by the
Elizabeth
director to star alongside Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan in his upcoming film.
Kapur took to his Twitter page to make it clear that he has spoken to Stewart only once and she is yet to say yes to the film.
"Kristen Stewart is not aboard
Paani
. We have just had one conversation. She still needs to read script. People are jumping to conclusions," the director wrote.
Meanwhile, Stewart's own representative has dismissed reports that she is set to star in
Paani
.
"She is not set to star in this movie," her representative told celebrity website
GossipCop.
