SENSATIONAL KIDNAPPING of CEO Naresh Gupta’s son Anant from NOIDA has confused the special task force (STF) sleuths too as they claim that the kidnapping is not the handiwork of an organized gang.
A team of STF men rushed to NOIDA on Tuesday to track down the kidnappers. STF sleuths deny any ransom call so far.
Over one-and-half dozen senior IAS officers and four ex-chief secretaries of UP live in the most posh colony (Sector-15 A) of NOIDA and all the gates are manned by group of security guards.
However, the team led by SSP STF SK Bhagat and ASP Rajesh Pandey was probing the role of the woman who was carrying the child and some security staff deputed around the building. The officials revealed there are dozens of other families in the same colony who are affluent enough and those employed as domestic help and security staff belongs to Eastern UP.
They have identified about half-a-dozen among the staff and have also collected their antecedents. All these are being quizzed by STF sleuths and the officials appeared hopeful to retrieve vital clues leading to the gang involved in the kidnapping.
Besides, the STF sleuths, so far, deny role of an organised gang behind the kidnapping despite the fact that the ransom deal could dole out crores of rupees. Officials dealing with the case revealed that they have gone through all possible gangs known for dealing in kidnapping for ransom matters. Sanjiv Maheshwari alias Jeeva of Muzaffar Nagar, who is present lodged in Lucknow jail in BJP MLA Krishnanad Rai case, had been involved in a few of the sensational kidnapping cases.
