A magnitude-6.0 earthquake struck in the Fox Islands, near Alaska, early on Friday, the US Geological Survey said.
The quake hit the island chain, in the Aleutian archipelago, at 1734 hrs IST, some 19 kilometres northeast of Unalaska, Alaska and 1,263 kilometers west-southwest of Anchorage.
