The blooper comes a day after the site’s payment gateway crashed, forcing many to submit demand drafts at admission counters to complete the application process. “The gateway will be up and working by Friday,” an official said.

Pallavi Singh, a student who came to Delhi from Jalandhar, said she would go for the over-the-counter form after the goof-up. The university authorities accepted the mistake.

“All complaints will be resolved. No students will be left out because of such mistakes,” said Gurpreet Singh Tuteja, deputy dean, students welfare.
