Students pray for recovery of PM

Students studying in various schools in Vadodara, prayed for speedy recovery of the PM Manmohan Singh, so that he can continue to lead the nation for many more years.

Students studying in various schools in Vadodara, prayed for speedy recovery of the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, so that he can continue to lead the nation for many more years.

Jayendra Shah the Managing trustee of a group of Bright schools including English and Gujarati-medium schools, having a total strength of more than 15,000 students, said that the students requested the school authorities to allow them to conduct prayers for speedy recovery of the prime minister.

They prayed before attending their classes in the schools on Saturday, when the bypass surgery was being performed on the prime minister on Saturday morning in Delhi.

Sargam Bakulesh Gupta, running Gujarat public schools in which students of NRIs from various countries have been studying, said that students prayed for the PM's speedy recovery.

Meanwhile several people visited temples praying for Manmohan Singh's speedy recovery. Jyotsna Upendrabhai, a housewife, prayed for Singh's speedy recovery after successful bypass surgery.

"May god give him the strength to overcome this trouble. God is the greatest surgeon and may grant him long life and the god will be with him" said a number of people after praying for Singh in the temples and gurudwaras.

Reports of prayers for speedy recovery of the prime minister have been received from other parts of central Gujarat.
