Suspected gangster shot dead in encounter

A suspected gangster was killed in an encounter between a three-member gang and police in Gurupa in the wee hours in Manglore on Friday.

While one member of the gang was shot dead, two others managed to flee from the scene, Superintendent of Police Seemant Kumar said.

Two pistols have been recovered from the car the trio was travelling in, he said.
