Suzlon bags wind turbine deal worth $104 mn

The Indian wind power turbine maker has struck a deal to supply 50 wind turbines to Edison Mission Group.

Indian wind power turbine maker Suzlon Energy Ltd's deal to supply 50 wind turbines to Edison Mission Group was worth Rs 4.83 billion ($104 million), a company official told Reuters on Monday.

The deal was signed by Suzlon Wind Energy Corp, USA, a unit of the company's Denmark-based subsidiary.

Suzlon would start delivering turbines in the middle of next year.
