In a letter to Modi, Swamy suggested that the government should “approach the Supreme Court with an application seeking day-to-day hearing on these Ramjanmabhoomi issues and pray that the Supreme Court gives its verdict on the civil appeals as early as possible”.

Swamy pointed out that the Narasimha Rao government had given an affidavit to the Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court that if there was a pre existing temple where Babri Masjid stood, then the government will be in favour of handing over the land for the construction of Ram Temple.

Swamy said he will try and meet leaders of Muslim community including Asaduddin Owaisi and Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav.
