FORMER STATE minister for home affairs, Chinmayanand said here that ‘Madarsas’ cannot produce IAS and IPC officers and neither can it increase the educational status of minority community.
He also said that reservation for backward Muslims would not yield desirable result unless modernisation of education imparted at ‘Madarsas’ is done.
Chinmayanand was here to participate in centenary programme of Guru Golwarker, the second Sar Sangh Chalak of RSS. While talking to mediapersons, Chinmayanad said madrasas only produce Moulvis and said Justice Sacchar Committee should suggest ways for modernising the madrasas in sync with the present times.
He also said it is unfortunate that the government cannot determine the syllabus of madarsas.
Hitting hard at the union government he said while the Pakistani President Parvez Musharraf shad categorically objected to the syllabus at madarsas, the Indian PM is mysteriously silent on the issue. He also condemned the forces demanding mercy for Afzal Guru convicted in the Parliament attack case.
Chinmayanand said PM Manmohan Singh had failed to raise the issue of Arunachal Pradesh effectively before the President of China Hu Jintao.

He also addressed a meeting in Farenda tow of Maharajganj district and said Hindutva is the spirit of India and it is an ideology.
He also expressed hope that the decision in Ayodhya dispute would come by January next year.
