Fifty nine out of 60 members of Nagaland assembly have so far cast their votes to elect the lone Rajya Sabha member from the state, official sources here said.

Election will end at 16.00 hours and the counting of ballot begins at 17.00 hours.
State geology and mining minister and NPF candidate T R Zeliang is pitted against incumbent and Congress candidate Apok Jamir.
In the 60- member house, Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN), where NPF a major constituent, has 45 mlas while Congress has 15 members. Zeliang is a consensus candidate of DAN partners including BJP.
