The report Inflated power bills: BSES on backfoot (September 5) was timely and in the public interest. But it is disheartening that the Delhi government hasn’t yet taken any action against power distribution companies. While these companies do not spare consumers who are caught flouting electricity board norms, and make them pay a huge fine, why should the companies be spared? By asserting that technical glitches are the problem, the BSES is only acting irresponsibly.
