Tata gets $12 mn order for Kinshasa

Tata Motors has received an order worth Rs 550 mn for supply of buses to Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Tata Motors Ltd, India's top bus and truck maker, said on Tuesday it had received an order worth Rs 550 million for supply of buses to Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The buses will be used in the revamp of the capital city's urban transport system, the company said in a statement. It has already delivered 228 buses.

Tata Motors exported more than 6,000 buses in the fiscal year to March 2006, up 45 per cent from the year earlier.
