The decision was taken in a meeting here on Saturday. Raj Singh, president of the association, presided over the event.

Ravinder Dhillon, secretary of the association, told the mediapersons that chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda had promised to fulfil their demand on April 21 and on June7 he had assured the teachers in Chandigarh of implementing the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission but nothing had been done.

Representatives of the association had also called upon the chief secretary on June 20 but no action was taken.
