SUPPORTING THEIR demands for early clearance of funds for teachers retiring on June 30, members of Uttar Pradesh Intermediate Teachers’ Association staged a dharna at the joint director education office. The teachers demanded that payments and pension facilities for teachers should be completed by July first week.

State secretary of teachers’ association and MLC Panchanan Rai said the association was determined to ensure payment of teachers. He said the association would not compromise on this issue and advised teachers not to bribe officials.
