Team has potential to win world cup, says Kaushik

NATIONAL WOMEN?S hockey team coach M K Kaushik on Saturday expressed hope that the team has the potential to win world cup. He was addressing the gathering at the farewell organised by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) in the City on Saturday.

NATIONAL WOMEN’S hockey team coach M K Kaushik on Saturday expressed hope that the team has the potential to win world cup. He was addressing the gathering at the farewell organised by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) in the City on Saturday.

The team will leave for Delhi to participate in the World Cup to be organised in Madrid from September 27. India has to play against Holland in the inaugural match.

After a rigorous one-month session, the women’s hockey team came out to visit the City. The session was being organised at SAI Centre, Bishenkheri. Talking to the Hindustan Times, coach Kaushik said that team has sweated a lot to bring laurels to the Country. “It was a rigorous session for the team; I am happy that the players supported us by giving their best of efforts in the training session,” said Kaushik.

Comparing Bhopal with Bangalore, team players said that the facilities were up to the mark. “It was a good one-month experience,” said the players.
