Police said, Niranjan Kumar(28), an employee of a Bangalore-based IT firm, had intended to postpone paternity since “he wanted to spend quality time with his wife”, after their marriage a year ago.

His wife had become pregnant soon after their marriage and Kumar even made a bid for getting abortion done but it was resisted by her, police said.

His wife had given birth to the baby four days back.
