DCP Sarang Awad from the Ulhasnagar police station said that 48-year-old Shubranil Goshal, a Central Railway employee, lodged a complaint at the Ulhasnagar police station on Monday evening, claiming that his son had been kidnapped.

Goshal told the police that he had received a call from his son’s mobile number on Monday evening. He was threatened that non-payment of the ransom amount or informing the police would result in his son’s death.

The police interrogated the boy’s friends and realised that he had fallen prey to wrong company. The first name to surface during the interrogation was that of 19-year-old Gladman Yesudas Baguson, a class 12 student at an Ulhasnagar college.

Baguson’s interrogation led the police to Sohan Idranil Ghoshal and Farid Dilavar Sheikh, both class 12 students at the same college in Ulhasnagar.
