In accordance with a Bombay High Court directive, Madhukar Kulthe, former Indian Security Press employee and an alleged close aide of key accused in fake stamp paper scam Abdul Karim Telgi, would surrender before a special court in Mumbai on Monday after the expiry of his interim bail.
The court had granted him bail for two months on medical grounds to undergo cataract operation in a local hospital. The bail was extended further for a period of two weeks to enable him recover after the operation.
However, Justice Dilip Bhosale allowed Madhukar Kulthe to surrender before the court on August two after the expiry of his interim bail.
Kulthe has been charged under stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) for aiding prime accused Telgi by supplying him the technology of the special stamp papers.
