"The actor will be issued summons shortly and we will question him soon along with other suspects," a senior police officer supervising the investigations into the various drug racket cases busted in Hyderabad, told PTI.

The actor would be questioned whether he was involved in drug-peddling or consumption, the police officer said.

The Langar Houz police had arrested a medical doctor Siddharth here along with one Nigerian drug-peddler James Egems last month, who in his confession said that he procured cocaine and later consumed it with his friends including Varun Sandesh.

The young actor, however, had denied all the charges against his calling them "baseless".

Asked if the investigations into the drug-related case was being delayed, the police officer said, "We have some information and we are working on it. Our teams are working out on the clues in Bangalore and other places."

The arrested persons had reportedly revealed that their clients included actors, actresses from Telugu film industry and important personalities from posh localities of Hyderabad.
