A posse of policemen has been deployed in the area.

According to reports, the transformer of Bunker Colony and Nati Imli area burnt out five days ago, disrupting power supply. Succumbing to pressure of locals, the electricity department decided to replace the transformer. Earlier, the transformer had been placed at a height of 15 feet from the road with the support of iron pillars.

Without removing the old one, the employees of the electricity department wanted to place the new transformer at a height of two feet from the road. Local traders and residents of Labour Colony objected to the move as the low transformer could cause a mishap if a bicycle or motorcycle came in contact with it during the monsoon. They demanded a suitable place for the new transformer. When this news reached the residents of Bunker Colony belonging to a particular community, they asked officials to immediately install the transformer as they had been without power for five days. It led to a confrontation between the two sides.

When members of both sides came face to face in Labour Colony, policemen were rushed to the area.
