The boredom and loneliness of being 'single' in real life apparently made actress Teri Hatcher so hungry for 'sex,' that she literally begged Desperate Housewives creator Mark Cherry to let her "sleep with someone" on screen.

"I remember her coming to me and saying, 'Let me sleep with someone!'" Femalefirst quoted the writer, who was also behind 80s sitcom 'Golden Girls', as telling America's USA Today newspaper.
Cherry joked Hatcher "is always complaining that she doesn't have a boyfriend in real life, so I think she pushes me to have her date on the show because it's the only action she gets."
