With reference to the editorial Let’s play it fair & square (Our Take, March 12), it’s shocking to see how certain political leaders are reacting to the Women’s Bill being passed.

With reference to the editorial Let’s play it fair & square (Our Take, March 12), it’s shocking to see how certain political leaders are reacting to the Women’s Bill being passed. For long, India has strictly been dominated by men who believe that women are inferior to them. They have refused to acknowledge women’s contribution to the overall development of our society. It’s shameful to witness the stark difference in opinion over the Bill among India’s political leaders. It’s time they changed their parochial views and accepted things for what they are.
