Theft from Raja Bhoj airport

OVER ONE-and-a-half dozen vapour lamp boxes, kept in Raja Bhoj airport premises under strict vigil of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), were stolen recently. The approximate value of the lamp boxes was estimated at Rs 35,000.

OVER ONE-and-a-half dozen vapour lamp boxes, kept in Raja Bhoj airport premises under strict vigil of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), were stolen recently. The approximate value of the lamp boxes was estimated at Rs 35,000. CISF lodged a report to this effect at Gandhinagar police station on Monday.

According to police, the vapour lamps were kept for fixing in airport premises and it was stolen somewhere between January 25 to 28. CISF inspector Ravi Kumar reported the matter to police today.

The theft occurred when the airport and surrounding areas were under high alert in view of Republic Day. CISF officers at present were not ready to comment except that the theft had taken place and it was reported to the police.
