Three die of H1N1 in Nashik; toll rises to 11

Three persons died of H1N1 at a civil hospital here taking the death toll due to the viral infection in the district since June to 11, official sources said today.

Three persons died of H1N1 at a civil hospital here taking the death toll due to the viral infection in the district since June to 11, official sources said today.

Popat Dande (42), Sitabai Gawli (70) and Shivaji Sonawane (40) died at the Nashik civil hospital, they said.

As many as 196 patients have been admitted to various government hospitals in the district for suspected H1N1 infection since April, out of which 57 have been tested positive for the deadly viral infection, they said.

Meanwhile, in Kolhapur, a 13-year-old boy succumbed to H1N1 infection today.

Mustafa Abdul Naikawadi died at the CPR government hospital. He was on ventilator for the last few days.
