Suspected militants set off a bomb at a shop in a crowded market in Imphal on Monday injuring three persons, official sources said.

The incident occurred in Thangal market in the capital complex in Imphal.

The injured were rushed to the Regional Institute of Medical Science and Hospital, they said.
However, the militants, whose motive was still not known, escaped after the blast, they said.
No arrests were made till the last update.
In another incident, a non-Manipuri was shot in the leg by some militants at the same market complex on Monday, sources said.
