Three jawans killed in road accident in Raipur

Three Central Reserve Police Force jawans were killed and another injured today when the vehicle in which they were travelling was hit by a dumper on national highway six, police said.

The vehicle, in which the jawans were travelling, was moving towards Dhamtari district. When it reached near Shahdani Darbar located on the national highway six, a dumper coming from the opposite direction hit it, Additional Superintendent of Police, Rajnesh Singh told PTI.

Following the collision, CRPF's vehicle rammed into a tree adjoining the road, he said.

While two jawans were killed on the spot, another succumbed to injuries en route hospital, he said.

The injured jawan has been admitted to the Ramakrishna Care hospital here, Singh said adding that the dumper driver has been arrested.
