Three persons were killed and 27 others seriously injured in two different mishaps in Assam's Kamrup (Rural) district on Sunday, police said.
The driver of a speeding and overcrowded vehicle carrying 32 persons lost control and turned turtle killing three persons on the spot and injuring 25 others at Kawoimari under Chaygaon police station.

The condition of 17 injured persons was serious and they were shifted to the Guwahati Medical College.
In another incident, two youths were critically injured when their motorcycle collided with a truck at Dohora under Rangiya police station.
The two were admitted to the Guwahati Medical College Hospital.
