Three people allegedly involved in a fake currency racket have been arrested from Shamli area in the district, police said on Monday.

Fake currency with a face value of Rs 95,000 has also been recovered from them, they added.
Acting on a tip off, that a gang having alleged links with ISI agents was dealing in fake currency in the area, a police team intercepted them and recovered the fake notes.
"We have arrested the trio and recovered 190 notes of Rs 500 denomination from them," SP O P Singh said.
The arrested have been identified as Rafiq, Shedab and Aftab, police said, adding they revealed during the interrogation that they smuggled fake notes through Uttarakhand highway from ISI agents.
