South Africa would look to score at least 300 provided they batted first on Tuesday as anything less than that might not be enough for a win against India whose batting depth was at display in Bangalore.
South African coach Micky Arthur also said toss would be a crucial factor in the third match since it was a day-night affair.
"Toss will be crucial due to the dew factor. We will bat first, if we win the toss. A total of around 300 will be the goal to achieve a win here on Tuesday," the coach said, giving credit to the Indian side for levelling the five-match series 1-1 at Bangalore.
On the team composition and strategy, he said "the team will be decided after seeing the conditions on Tuesday morning."
Asked whether he would go in for full pace attack, he said "I do not know. We have to discuss depending on the conditions on the day of the match. It all depends on the weather conditions and accordingly we will pick a bowler or a batsman under super-sub facility."
"Ours is a side that is trying to look up but the players are young and are learning... Each one of them has the potential to do his business according to what he is told," he said adding "the conditions here are almost akin to what exist in Durban."

{{/usCountry}}Drawing comparisons to the strength of the teams, he said the Indian team has depth in batting as they displayed in Hyderabad to score 249 after being 35 for five.
"Our team is not as experienced as India but we are creating a good atmosphere for the youngsters who are shaping up superbly.
"They are working very hard. It is all about team culture and philosophy. The players know what is expected of them and they deliver," he said.
