A major tragedy was averted on Saturday when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was recovered by army forces in Doda district in Jammu.
The device was found during a sanitation operation in Udhyanpur area in Doda district, defence sources said.

The IED was filled with 5 kgs of explosives, they said adding it was, however, later defused.
