Armed robbers looted cash and valuables, including jewellery, worth over Rs one lakh from passengers of a sleeper coach of the Muzaffarpur-Bhagalpur Intercity Express between Rampur and Mankatha railway stations in Bihar's Bhagalpur district.

Police said a gang of ten robbers boarded the train at Rampur on Bhagalpur-Kiul last night and went on a looting spree.
They decamped with golden chains, cellular phones and cash from the passengers before getting down near Mankatha after pulling the chain, police said.
A woman was injured when the miscreants tried to snatch her golden chain, sources said adding that some of the passengers were beaten up when they resisted.
An FIR was lodged with the government railway police (GRP) at Bhagalpur railway station.
