THE STATE Government under its tribal sub-plan has released funds of Rs 15 crore for electrification works during the current financial year.
According to an official release today, of the total amount Rs five crore would be allocated for electrification of wells of SC, ST farmers and laying electricity lines, Rs two crore for single phase connections, and Rs eight crore for electrification of majra-tolas.
Bhopal division has been allocated Rs 1.20 crore, Rs 1.08 crore to Gwalior division, Indore division Rs 6.41 crore, Jabalpur division Rs 3.65 crore, Rewa division Rs 1.98 crore, Sagar division Rs 23.22 lakh and Ujjain division has been granted Rs 42.08 lakh for electrification.
The State Government has directed all collectors to undertake electrification works as per the allocated amount only.
The collectors have also been instructed to call a meeting of the District Planning Board at the earliest and ensure completion of electrification works.
