"The EC's decision not to hold the bypolls in Sircilla and Vemulawada along with 10 other seats is unconstitutional. We urged the Election Commission to reconsider its decision," B Vinod Kumar, former TRS MP, told reporters after submitting a petition to Chief Electoral Officer IV Subba Rao here.

He said the TRS sent a fax to the Election Commission in New Delhi putting forward its demand.

The EC has on Monday announced the schedule for the by-elections to 10 Assembly seats, according to which polling will be held on July 27.

Terming the EC's decision not to hold bypoll in the two seats as "unconstitutional", TRS had on Monday said it will move court against the poll panel's decision.

Subba Rao said he will wait for the directive from the Election Commission over the TRS petition.

The EC has decided not to hold the bypoll in Vemulawada and Sircilla as election petitions are pending in courts with regard to the two Assembly seats.
