After a short-lived lull, the Telangana issue once again rocked the Lok Sabha on Monday. Rao and his colleague K Vijaya Shanthi walked into the Well raising slogans for Telangana and forced an adjournment during the Question Hour.

The two MPs walked out after they were allowed to make a brief mention of the issue when the house reconvened.

“What is the point of stretching this tangle? Let the Centre make its stand clear. If the government is not willing to give Telangana, it should say so. Then, we will go back and discuss our options,” Rao told HT outside the house.

The issue has also disrupted the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, which was taking up the State budget on Monday. Fifteen MLAs of TRS Party were suspended for a day as they stormed the Speaker’s podium demanding adoption of a resolution in favour of Telangana creation.
