Twelve people, including a woman, have been arrested in the city for their alleged involvement in making of a pornographic film.

Twelve people, including a woman, have been arrested in the city for their alleged involvement in making of a pornographic film, copies of which have been seized, police said on Sunday.

A team of the Shaheed Gunj police station on a tip-off seized a porn CD and after identifying the woman in the film raided several areas in the city yesterday.

The woman was arrested from Habba Kadal area and a spot interrogation of her led to the arrest of 11 others from Batmaloo, Habba Kadal, Rambagh and Bemina areas, they said.

Police did not give further details, saying "it would hamper investigations".
