Two persons were killed and eight others injured on Thursday in a clash over land between the families of two brothers at Mahuara village in Bihar’s Darbhanga district.

Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Biraul, Anjani Kumar said, “Tulmohan Yadav (50) and Lalit Yadav (45) died when they clashed with their brother Lakshmi Yadav in a dispute over the claim of land.”Eight others who were injured have been admitted to Biraul Referal hospital, Kumar said.

Injured Lakshmi Yadav and his son Chandan Yadav have been arrested and were being treated under police custody at a local hospital, he said. Police force have been deployed in the village in view of prevailing tension in the village after the incident, Kumar said.
