Two wanted criminals were killed in an encounter with police in Bhagwat village in Kaushambi, police said on Tuesday.
The encounter took place on Monday night. A number of cases of loot, extortion and murder were pending against the two identified as Badaiya and Gulab Kungda.

A foreign-made and a country-made pistol besides a number of cartridges were recovered from their possession.
