A city court on Tuesday sentenced two brothers to seven years' rigorous imprisonment and slapped a penalty of Rs 5,000 who were facing trial on charges of snatching and attempt to murder of a woman in DLF City in April last year.

If they fail to deposit the penalty amount, they would further have to bear additional imprisonment of six months.
Victim Tina Sethi worked in a hotel and was returning home when Vibhor and Janet Kumar rammed their bike into her scooty near Galleria market in DLF City.
She fell down and the two tried to snatch her purse.
Failing to get hold of the purse, they attacked Sethi with a knife.
Thanks to the timely help by passersby, the two were caught and handed over to the police.
