Two girls allegedly committed suicide by jumping into a lake in the famous tourist resort of Pokhara in western Nepal after failing in their school leaving certificate exams.

On Monday, after hearing the results of the SLC Supplementary exams the girls aged 18 and 19 jumped into the lake situated near the famous Fish Tail mountain in Pokhara, police said.

The bodies of the girls have been fished out of the lake, police said. Meanwhile, another unidentified body was also found lying in the lake.
