Srikrishna Gurav and Dinesh Narkar, who were earlier arrested along with the gangster-turned-politican in a case of extortion, were today arrested in the Jamsandikar murder case, police said.

Gurav is a very important person who arranged for a meeting between the gang which took the contract of killing and two persons who wanted Jamsandikar to be eliminated, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rakesh Maria told reporters here.

Narkar went along with Gurav to pick up the weapon used in the attack from the Sindhudurga district, he said.

The total number of arrests in the case has gone to 15 with today's arrests. Police is still on the lookout for one Surendra Gangan alias Sandy who is alleged to have given the final go-ahead to kill the corporator after consulting some unidentified person in Dagdi Chawl, where Gawli resides.

Gawli has been arrested in an extortion case with seven others including his brother Vijay Ahir and subsequently booked under the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).

Jamsandikar was killed at his residence in suburban Andheri's Asalpha village by some gunmen on March 3, 2007.
