Two people tested positive for swine flu in Goa on Wednesday, taking the state's tally to five, officials said.

"We had sent the samples of these two suspects, a 40-year-old male and a 37-year-old male, to the National Institute for Virology in Pune and they have tested positive for swine flu," a health official said.

The two men had been admitted to the quarantine ward at the Chicalim Cottage hospital near the port town of Vasco.
Health authorities have also sent throat swab samples of a 30-year-old man for testing to the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) in Delhi. The man reported swine flu-like symptoms after arriving in Panaji from Amsterdam via Hong Kong and Mumbai.
