Two insurgents of banned National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) have been arrested by Assam Rifles from Belbari area in West Tripura district, police said on Tuesday.

Acting on a tip off, a group of Assam Rifles jawans caught two ultras, Manoj Debbarma (28) and Dipak Debbarma (45), when they were moving suspiciously at Belbari under Champahor police station on Monday.

On Sunday, four insurgents of the same outfit were nabbed by Assam Rifles from Sailu, a tribal hamlet under Bhangmun police station of North Tripura district.
Three countries made guns and one grenade were recovered from their possession, police said.
