One ULFA militant was killed and an army jawan injured in an encounter in Assam's Sonitpur district on Thursday, police sources said.
The encounter took place when an army patrol team was fired upon by a group of ULFA militants at Khanamukh.

The others militants managed to escape, police sources said adding reinforcements has been sent to the spot.
